Where we come from

The beginning

Overhearing the frustrations of store staff, who were reprimanded for not selling enough shoe polish and waterproofing sprays, inspired René Marker to create an easy-to-use machine to revolutionize shoe protection. This led to the development of a machine that could quickly protect shoes, make work easier for salespeople, and safely meet customers' needs for convenience.

From there the company began in René's small garage in East Jutland, Denmark.

Revolutionizing shoe care globally

Imbox Protection was founded to address frustrations and a gap in the market.
The main goal has always been to streamline processes for store staff, making it easier and faster to provide premium shoe protection for consumers.

Today, Imbox Protection has grown from René and a small team of five to nearly 50 employees, with headquarters in Skoedstrup, Denmark, and offices in Chicago and Tokyo.
Imbox Protection has become a global name, with its technology in 35 countries, protecting millions of shoes with over 8,500 machines, and continues to expand its mission of prolonging footwear worldwide.

Locally managed and globally supported, Imbox Protection offer reliable assistance from trained technicians, ensuring expert help wherever you are.
