Imbox Protection supports Knæk Cancer 2023

Imbox Protection is supporting the Danish campaign “Knæk Cancer” (Translated from Danish: "Break Cancer"). Once again, we are immensely proud of being a part of and contributing to this cause.

The recurring collaboration between the Danish Cancer Society, Kræftens Bekæmpelse, and the Danish broadcasting company TV2 aims to unite the Danes for a whole week of dedication to information and fundraising.

Imbox Protection has donated to Knæk Cancer this year to support research, prevention and patient support regarding cancer.

René Marker, CEO:

“Cancer impacts us all. It’s a pervasive issue, touching many lives either directly or indirectly. It’s essential that we come together in unity to show our support and compassion for those facing these challenges.

It’s important to recognize and back up the incredible efforts of the dedicated professionals working to find solutions. Success should be channelled into meaningful causes; it’s how we make a difference”.

12 years with Knæk Cancer

For the past 12 years, TV2 has joined hands with Kræftens Bekæmpelse to dedicate Week 43 to the cause of Knæk Cancer. This entire week serves as a platform to address cancer from various perspectives, spreading awareness, advancing research and fostering unity through entertainment and musical performance.

Over the last 11 years, 466 projects have been set in motion to drive research, prevention and support efforts. Annually, Knæk Cancer identifies specific areas that will benefit from the funds raised. This year, 6 critical focus areas have been selected.

The 6 areas are:

  • The Children’s Cancer Foundation
  • Biological, psychosocial, clinical and epidemiological cancer research
  • Prevention Lab – For better health and less cancer
  • New possibilities for diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and care
  • Support for cancer patients and relatives during and after cancer
  • Quality and coherence in cancer efforts
