Shoes for a Cure - Supporting a cure in NYC
First up, New York. From 21–25 October, we packed up our IMBOX Flagship machine and headed to to the running event for Shoes for a Cure at Chelsea Market in New York.
To support the cause, we treated people's shoes for free, and for every pair, the full price of the treatment went straight to Shoes for a Cure.
Shoes for a Cure is the biggest fundraising event in the footwear industry. What started as a small shoe sale under a tent in Central Park in 1994 has grown into an industry-wide effort, raising over $65 million for breast cancer research.
Run by the Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation, it channels the shoe world's generosity into funding for leading research teams across the US. For us, taking part was a natural choice.
